My Access

The My Access page shows a summary of your effective permissions in OTS Signs: your assigned roles, the groups you belong to, and what you are allowed to see and do. It is a self-service tool for understanding your own access without contacting an administrator.

Navigate to: Click your profile avatar (top-right) → My Access, or go directly to /me/access.

The My Access page gives you a clear picture of:

  • Your role: the primary role assigned to your account (e.g. Editor, Admin).
  • Your groups: all groups you are a member of, each of which may carry additional permissions.
  • Your effective permissions: the combined set of things you can access, derived from your role and group memberships.

This is particularly useful if you are unsure why you can or cannot see a particular section of the app, or why an action is unavailable to you.

Common reasons to check My Access:

  • You cannot see a page or feature you expect to have access to.
  • An action (such as creating a layout or editing a display) is greyed out or unavailable.
  • You have recently been added to a group and want to confirm the change has taken effect.
  • You want to understand your access before contacting your administrator.

My Access is read-only: it shows your permissions but does not let you change them. If you need access to something you cannot currently reach, contact your OTS Signs administrator. They can adjust your role, add you to a group, or grant you access to a specific folder from the Access Management page.
