Sync Groups
A Sync Group keeps multiple displays in lock-step playback so they all show the same frame at the same moment. Use them for video walls and multi-screen installations where each screen shows a portion of a larger image, or where visible drift between screens would be obvious.
Navigate to: Sidebar → Sync Groups
When to Use Sync Groups
Section titled “When to Use Sync Groups”Use sync groups when:
- You have a video wall: multiple screens tiled together to show one wide image or video.
- You want multiple screens in the same room playing the same content together (e.g. all restaurant TVs showing the same promotion at the same time).
- Slight timing differences between screens would be visible and distracting.
How Sync Groups Work
Section titled “How Sync Groups Work”One display in the group acts as the lead (primary). The others are followers and continuously align their playback to the lead. A follower that drifts will catch itself up.
Requirements for Reliable Sync
Section titled “Requirements for Reliable Sync”For sync to work reliably, the member displays should:
- Be on the same local network. Sync depends on low-latency communication between the lead and followers; displays on different network segments may drift.
- Have matching content and resolution. All displays must have the scheduled content downloaded and must be set to the same resolution. Mismatches cause playback issues.
- Run the same player software version. Different versions may handle timing differently.
If displays fall out of sync, check these three things first.
Browsing Sync Groups
Section titled “Browsing Sync Groups”Navigate to Sync Groups in the sidebar. The list shows all sync groups with:
| Column | Description |
