Audit Trail

Audit Trail

The Audit Trail records every significant action taken in OTS Signs: who did what, and when. It is the authoritative history of changes to your signage system, useful for troubleshooting, compliance, and accountability. For usage and playback statistics, see Reports.

Navigate to: Sidebar → Audit Trail

The audit trail captures events including:

Each entry shows:

  • Date and time of the action.
  • User who performed it.
  • Action type.
  • Object affected (e.g. layout name, display name).
  • Details: metadata about the change.
  1. Navigate to Audit Trail in the sidebar.
  2. The log is displayed in reverse chronological order (most recent first).
  3. Use the page size selector to control how many entries are shown per page.

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow results:

  1. Apply any filters you need.
  2. Click Download to export the visible entries as a file.

This is useful for compliance reporting or handing records to an auditor.

  • The Audit Trail is visible to Admins and OTS Admins only.
  • Viewers and Editors do not have access to the audit trail.
