Library

The Library is the central store for all files used in your signage content: images, videos, PDFs, fonts, and more. Any file you want to display on a screen must first be uploaded here.

Navigate to: Sidebar → Library

TypeCommon formats
ImagesJPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WebP
VideoMP4, MOV, AVI, WebM
DocumentsPDF
AudioMP3, AAC
OtherHTML packages

The Library displays all uploaded assets in a searchable list or grid. Toggle between list view and grid view using the view icons at the top-right. Use the search bar to filter by name, or use the type filter to show only a specific file category.

Each media item shows:

  1. Navigate to Library in the sidebar.
  2. Click Upload.
  3. Select one or more files from your computer, or drag and drop them into the upload area.
  4. The files will upload and appear in your library when complete.
  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to Upload and select Upload from URL.
  2. Enter the URL of the file.
  3. Click Upload.

When uploading, you can optionally set an expiry date. After the expiry date, the file shows a warning in the library. Files expiring within 7 days are highlighted to prompt you to review or replace them.

Click the three-dot menu on any media item to access available actions:

DeletePermanently delete the file

Select multiple files using the checkboxes to perform bulk actions:

  • Bulk Tag: apply or remove tags from all selected files at once.
  • Bulk Purge: add multiple files to the purge list at once.

When you no longer need a file but want to keep it available temporarily, add it to the Purge List (also called retiring the file). Retired files:

  • are removed from active use in layouts and playlists
  • can be restored before they are permanently deleted

To retire a file: click the three-dot menu → Add to Purge List.

To restore a retired file: click the three-dot menu → Restore from Purge.

To permanently remove a retired file: click the three-dot menu → Permanently Delete.

Tags are free-text labels you can apply to media files. Use them to group related assets — for example, summer-promo, restaurant-menu, or lobby. Manage all tags centrally from the Tags page.

Apply tags when editing a file (three-dot menu → Edit). Then use the tag filter in the library to show only files with a specific tag.

Once uploaded, media is available to use in Layouts. When building a layout in the layout editor, you can browse and insert any file from your library directly.

  • Viewers can browse the library but cannot upload or delete.
  • Editors can upload, edit, and delete their own files.
  • Admins can manage all files regardless of who uploaded them.
