Menu Boards

Menu Boards let you build and maintain dynamic digital menu content without editing a layout every time prices or items change. The menu data is structured (categories, items, prices, descriptions) and rendered on screen via a compatible layout.

Navigate to: Sidebar → Menu Boards

A Menu Board has two parts:

  • Categories: sections of the menu (e.g. Starters, Mains, Drinks, Desserts).
  • Products: items within each category, with name, description, price, and optional image.

Because the data is separated from the design, you can update prices or add items and the change is reflected on every display using that menu board without redesigning the layout.

Navigate to Menu Boards in the sidebar. The list shows all menu boards with:

  2. Click Add Category.
  3. Enter a category name (e.g. “Mains”) and an optional description.

  3. Fill in:
    • Name: the item name
    • Description (optional)
    • Price: displayed on screen

  2. Find the product and click Edit.
  3. Update the price, description, or availability.
  4. Click Save.

Changes are reflected on displays the next time content syncs (typically within a few minutes).

Drag categories or products within the list to reorder them. The order is reflected on screen.

  1. Click the three-dot menu → Delete and confirm.

This removes the menu board data. Any layouts referencing it will stop showing menu content.

A layout must be designed to consume menu board data. When building a layout in the Layout Editor, add a Menu Board content widget and point it at your menu board by name or code.

Once connected, the layout renders your current menu content on screen.
