Proof of Play

See what actually played on your screens, with success rates, screenshots and exports.

Proof of Play shows what actually played on your screens: how often, where, and whether it succeeded. Use it to prove delivery to advertisers and to check that content is running as planned.

Where to find it: Ad Manager → Proof of Play. You need ad_manager.proof_of_play:read.

The Proof of Play page

Five tiles summarise the selected period and compare it to the previous one:

TileMeaning
Content PlaysTotal plays.
Screens ReachedScreens that played content.
Playback SuccessThe share of plays that completed without error.
Proof CapturesScreenshots captured while content played.
Playback FailuresPlays that failed.

The green or red change figure compares with the same length of time just before.

  • Date range: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or a custom range.
  • Content type: Images or Videos.
  • Campaign, Playlist and Status (Live, Scheduled, Ended, Completed).
  • Location: narrow to one location. Needs locations:read.
  • Search content… by name.

Reset Filters clears everything. Switch between list and grid views.

When your screens have locations, a By location strip shows plays and airtime per place, with a No location group for screens that have none. Locations are taken from each screen’s current location. If you move a screen, its past plays move with it.

Each item shows a thumbnail, its campaign and playlist, Plays, Screens, Success rate, Last played and Status. Click an item to open its details: the recent screens it played on, Recent Proof Captures (screenshots taken from those screens), file information, duration, and any failures.

Export Report downloads the playback history as a CSV file for your advertiser or finance team. It includes a location column.

  • Plays are reported by the player. If a screen is offline, its plays are reported when it reconnects, so recent figures can rise.
  • Proof captures are screenshots from the screen at play time, so they show what was really displayed.
  • A campaign’s own Analytics tab shows the same data scoped to one campaign. See Campaigns.
