Sharing Folders

Let people outside your team upload files to a media folder with a secure, expiring link.

A share link lets anyone, such as a customer, an agency or a franchisee, send files into one of your media folders without needing a Stratos account. Each folder can have one active link.

Where to find it: right-click a folder in the Media Library and choose Share. You need folders:manage_access.

The Share folder dialog

In the Share folder dialog set:

Click create, then copy the Public share link and send it. A toast confirms Share link created.

They open the link and, if you set a password, enter it. They give their name (shown next to their uploads), then drop files. The page tells them if a file isn’t allowed (This folder only accepts images.), or when a limit is reached (Upload limit reached). Uploaded files appear in the folder in your Media Library, processed like any other upload.

If a link has expired, was disabled, or isn’t valid, the page says so and explains to contact the owner.

Reopen Share on the folder to:

  • Edit settings: change expiry, password, limits and options. Save changes.
  • Regenerate link: creates a new link. The current link stops working. Use this if a link was shared too widely.
  • Revoke Share: turns the link off. Uploads are no longer accepted.
  • Copy the link again. Link copied confirms.

You can see how many uploads the link has received against any limit.
