Previewing a Playlist
Play a playlist in a simulator before it goes live.
Preview plays a playlist in your browser so you can check order, timing and content without touching a screen. Open it from the editor’s Preview button, a list row’s Preview action, or by pressing Enter on the timeline.

You can also click the seek bar to jump within the current item, Restart the item, or click any item in the strip at the bottom to jump to it. Items show their health (such as Expired) so you can spot problems.
What the simulator can and can’t show
Section titled “What the simulator can and can’t show”- Images and videos play inline using your normal permissions.
- Layouts and web links aren’t rendered inline. They appear as a card describing the item. Preview a layout from the layouts page instead.
- Documents without inline preview show a card.
- For smart playlists, preview plays a resolved sample, labelled as such.
