Members

See who has access to your workspace, change roles and groups, reset passwords and remove people.

The Members tab lists everyone who can sign in to your workspace. Open it from Team in the sidebar. You need users:read to see it and users:write to change members.

The Members tab

The Team area has four tabs: Members, Invitations, Groups and Roles. You see the tabs your permissions allow.

Each member shows their Role, Groups, Last active and status, with a warning if their Email isn’t verified. Search by name or email (Search name or email…), and filter by role, group or sign-in status (Has signed in / Never signed in). You can also export the list.

Summary tiles show how many Members you have, how many are Admins & owners, and how many have Never signed in.

Click a person to open a panel with three tabs:

A member's panel

  • Overview: their Role (with a summary of permissions and groups), Last active, Email verification, Two-factor status (Authenticator app, or Not set up) and Groups. Actions: Change role, Send password reset, Review access.
  • Groups: the groups they belong to. Members inherit every role their groups hold, on top of their own role. Edit and Save groups.
  • Access: where their access comes from. See Reviewing someone’s access.

Click Change role (or select several members for a bulk change). The dialog shows what the person Gains and Loses before you confirm.

  • You can only give roles whose permissions you hold yourself.
  • The workspace always needs at least one Account Owner. To hand over ownership, use Make account owner first.
  • If you change your own role, Stratos warns you that you may lose access to the page.

Add people to groups from their panel, or use Add to group to put several members in a group at once. See User Groups.

Send password reset emails the member a temporary password. Use it when someone is locked out. They’ll be asked to choose a new one on sign-in.

Review access (and the Access tab) explain why someone can do what they can: their direct role, the roles from each group, and any folder grants. Pick a folder to see what they can do in it specifically.

Make account owner makes another member an Account Owner and steps you down to Admin. Only a current Account Owner can do this, and it asks you to confirm. See Roles & Permissions for what owners can do that admins can’t (billing and developer tools).

Remove (from the panel or a row) takes someone out of the workspace. They lose access immediately, and their roles, group memberships and folder grants are cleared. You can’t remove yourself. Ask another administrator.

Removing someone doesn’t delete anything they created. Layouts, playlists and media remain.
